So basically I have this old Dell Inspiron 537 which I've had for the longest time ever. It's current graphics card is an Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset. At the time I only have a 2gb ram stick but planning on getting another 2gb ram stick for 4gb of ram. I just want a better graphics card, but I need it for really cheap. When I say cheap I'm talking about a $20 budget on this. I'm not looking for a new one, but at the very least, a refurbished one, not used. I've seen different kinds of threads and have seen that people are good at tracking these things down. I would appreciate any assistance given.

Wow thanks for the lightning fast response, I'm checking it out right now and it looks good so far except for one minor thing, the is for 2gb, but I'm planning on having 4gb of ram. Please correct me if I'm wrong or misunderstood, if so sorry.

That's 2GB of onboard VRAM. It has nothing to do with the RAM you put on your motherboard.

Having a graphics card that provides enough onboard memory means that it doesn't have to use as much system memory. This means that there's more free space in system memory for things that would have otherwise ended up in the Pagefile, resulting in reduced disk and CPU activity, resulting in a more responsive machine.

No need to be sorry, we all start somewhere. I didn't just wake up one day and understand everything that's now the basics for me. It takes time to learn and understand what's put in front of you. If you're not fortunate enough to get to go to college or tech school, you can still learn the ropes via YouTube and just plain online research.

Oh thank you for covering that up, I just have one simple question left. In the website you sent me: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/bL6BD3/msi-video-card-r72402gd3lp
For the Newegg section (the cheapest), there's a Promo Code that reduces the price from about $35 to about $15, would you happen to know what it is because when I checked Newegg itself, it was still at $35.

Oh, thanks for catching that. I'm sorry, that card is over $20.

When you buy the item, you have to download the PDF form newegg provides, fill that out and mail it in with a UPC code from the box of the product, after 4-8 weeks they will send you a prepaid visa card with the amount of the rebate on it, its quite a bit of waiting to get the rebate, it doesnt come with the item but you can use it on anything you want.

So you're saying just do what the PDF says and I'll get the $20, the problem with that is the graphics card is on sale to $35 but after 3 days it will revert to $45, so even with $20 off it, it would still be $25, I guess I'd have to make it work, but if you can find anything that is better than my Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset for $20 or under, I would very much appreciate that. Although it seems it's only $5, I'm really tight on money at the moment

Edit: Oh wait, I misunderstood what you said. By card I thought you meant the rebate card. My bad.

Wow thanks, you're really quick. All of this took you under 2 hours, and I'm really grateful there're very helpful people like you on this planet. Thank you for all the help. You have just gained all my respect.
