I googled the Pent D 805 for some other opinions about this chip and i'm now confused. One site said that the results toms hardware got were bs and messed with, but another posted similar results. I want to know straight out if i'm going to get around or better the speed of an FX-60 in games. I would also like some proof, if thats not asking for too much.

You know, I'm a proud owner of an 805, but I guarantee you an FX-60 will demolish the 805 in games! Not sure who you've been talking to...

Of course the FX-60 costs around $800 versus the 805D around $100, so it darn well better perform better!

Oops... I forgot the "proof" Here's a couple of articles (non-Tom's) comparing the FX-60 with various versions of the Pentium D.

These reviews mostly compare the newer 900 series of Pentium D processors which have the larger 2 meg L2 caches. But even there, they fall short of FX-60 gaming performance. The 805 will do no better, even if you overclock it...

Nah... I figured that's what you meant. If you're one of the lucky ones who makes it all the way to 4 GHz., certainly you'll be "closer" to the Athlon performance, but still short I think...

However, bang for the buck, the 805's a great deal!
