Built my current PC 8 years ago so still rocking the 970! I am one of these people that like to build it then leave it not massively into the upgrading scene and will do it all in one go when it is out of date!

Currently this is what I am looking at but completely aware it will need tweaking! At the moment I have the RX 6800 XT in this build but will be trying to get my hands on a RTX 7900 XTX (Wish me luck!)

Thank you all in advance for your help <3

The 6800xt will be a massive upgrade over your 970. That said the 7900xtx is better. At least in the USA I’ve seen that the 7900xt is in stock but haven’t seen the 7900xtx as often. Would help to know resolution etc as the other poster said.

AM5 is an expensive platform but the specs you have picked are fine. DDR5 never seems worth it but at least you are getting it as cheap as I have seen at even if it's only 5200. Personally I think Intel DDR4 builds are much better value at the moment but if you are determined to go red this seems fine in general. My only caution would be if you are going 6800XT I presume you are atleast gaming at 1440p in AAA as if you are only at 1080p this is overkill and a 6750XT would be plenty,
