Really Fast Download Speed And Slow Upload Speed

We just moved houses and the new internet upload speed is horrible. but i don't understand because the download speed is so good.

That looks about right for a typical ADSL2+ installation. What are you paying for?

Upload is almost always significantly slower than download on most residential internet connections.

I looked and most people average 1.2 mbps with Telstra.

Not "paying" for a specific speed it just states that the max speed u will get is blah blah..

Who is your ISP? What plan are you on?

Can you post the status page from your modem?

I meant such as our internet with century link states 20mb download and 2 mb up load. You could call your internet provider and ask what speed of service you are paying for. remember also if you have 20 mb dl you wont always get the full 20 mb or 1 mb upload you wont get the ful 1 mb.
