So this has bothered me for a while but I haven't really cared all too much but seeing my friends have fractions of my boot times I started wondering what was wrong. I see people with similar hardware have low single digit boot times while I'm here with almost 20 with close to no startup programs either.
Will fetch anymore info if you need any
Thanks in advance

Also feel free to tell me if this should be placed in another topic.

Do you see a splash screen during boot up? If you do you can go into mscofig and asdjust the amount of time that your computer displays the spalsh screen. Also in msconfig you can fine tune a couple of other start up features that could make it boot faster, but still 18 seconds is respectable.

Hmm ok, because it never really bothered me until i saw my friends and people on forums having 4-10 seconds. Just wondering if I've configured something wrong or if there is any setting i have left untouched.
