Hi.
So recently I purchased a brand new XPS 17 laptop. I bought it to play games, here are the specs
11th Gen Intel i7-11800H 2.30 GHz
32 gig ram
2tb samsung 970
3060, 6gig vram.
I am having a really hard time playing anything. Every game sees dips into the 20s-30s, even undemanding games like league of legends. I played the entirety of kingdom come on low settings and still saw massive FPS drops, every 30s pretty much. What could be causing this. Here are the troubleshooting methods i have covered:
I have space on my hard drive
No Malware as per windows defender
fan is running (it sounds pretty quiet, but its definitely on)
Drivers are up to date.
Laptop has room to breathe (not sitting in velvet or something)
Temp gets up to 70c, is that ok?
So what could I possibly do to fix this problem? should I reset my bios? I am stumped.
Eric
