Firstly let me thank people in advance I don't usually post thing as i'm a complete novice, Now my question is for help with freezing, I have an older graphics card (nvidia 580) and very recently it freezes the screen going into stanby then screen just comes back on, it has even restarted the pc on 1 occasion and im at a loss. I am now running on win 10 (not sure if this is causing it but previously win 7 and didnt have these probs). I installed nvidia inspector and ran a graph as i thought it could be the graphics card but as i'm a novice the finding don't mean too much too me. However what I did find is as follows:
each line on the graph (usage, power , memory) up and down as I think this would be normal due to the card being used in different demads while the fan and temp seem stable and arent pushed at all, then when my problems with the freezing start instead of the line peaking and dropping away they flat line constantly even if I tab out of game the line is still constant (not a flat line with no power but as though its constantly used at one level)

Any ideas (is it the card?)

Solution
I don't know to be honest. I still suspect old card/new OS (Win10) and drivers to be somehow causing the problem. If it was me, i'D just go back to Win7.. but that'S just me.
Sounds like a driver issue, where the driver is freezing or stalling in a state. Uninstall the current drivers, remove all traces of the driver..using a driver cleaner for nVidia (google it) and install the latest driver available from nVidia. See if that helps.
