Hi will keep this short, PC worked perfect great! woke up one day switched it on and it would power up for 2 seconds and keep bleeping or switch its self off. Abit IP35 PR0

I did loads of tests that people recommended, playing a round with the Ram , resetting CMOS and it didn't do any good. I was able to get it to boot to windows with it bleeping, when I changed my 4870x2 to a 6800 card I had lying around.

Any way I decided yesterday to buy a new motherboard - MSI X48 Platinum, thinking that it was just a motherboard problem.... Installed it today and when I power it on only the fans and watercooling loop seem to power on and the actual board doesn't light up in any way.

I have connected the main 20 pin molex and 4 pin to the main slot + 8 pin at the top left of the CPU. All so installed 1GB ram and Graphics card. Press the power button on the actual motherboard and it just wont boot up, apart from the fans and watercooling inside the case.. It must be working in some way thou as I have connected the headers to it, and am able to press the power on button on the front of my PC.

Any ideas on what I can do ?

If it's just the fans coming on, that usually indicates the 4/8 pin cpu power isn't connected. You may want to double check that connector.

You may also want to try unmounting the mobo. Place the mobo next to the case on a piece of cardboard. Then boot with only the HD, video card, and a single stick of RAM (may want to try RAM in each slot).
