Hey guys, I know there are multiple posts about graphics cards dying but I'm not sure if mine actually is or not and would like some clarification, in your opinions.

I ran Superposition (1080p/Medium preset) and I had decent fps for my relatively archaic build with an avg of 60. But the longer the benchmark went on for, the hotter the card got and it wouldn't stop increasing. Alongside this chronic increase in temperature - there began to be white squares coming through the graphics.

I'm not sure if these white squares are attempts to draw something that my GPU can't handle or if it's dying. Or if it is possibly just something like a setting that is causing this?

I do have my card VERY slightly OC'd because I wasn't reaching the 1040MHz in any application for some reason and it was really annoying me. Below are my current Afterburner settings that I use - please bear in mind I am not looking for an absolutely insane boost in any performance but I've been obsessed with fixing this issue for the past month or so and I'm not making much progress. I use the computer for gaming and that is all, really. But since I've started playing Albion Online I've been experiencing these staggering dips in frames which was also the same reason I quit playing CS:GO years ago - my FPS would pretty much freeze (frames drop to 1-5) for like 0.5s but it's just really annoying when you're in the middle of something and you get a stumble in the FPS for some peculiar reason. I can still, however run league of legends at almost 100-144fps no problem.

My processor is OC'd; FX8350 @ 4300Mhz, if that is needed.

IF there are any suggestions to downclock, I would appreciate the full guidance!

TL;dr:

White squares/blocks on screen with high temps during Superposition/Tomb Raider benchmarks, unsure as to what is causing it.
Tried some minor OC to enhance performance. I am not a pro but I have made sure everything is somewhat stable.

EDIT:

I cant add an image for some reason as it's considered spam?
