[SOLVED] Realtek Audio Drivers deactivated themselves randomly - can't reinstall.

Hi!
My Realtek Audio drivers just randomly deactivated themselves on my laptop. In the device manager, the audio device only showed up under hidden devices.
I uninstalled it as I couldn't manually re-activate it, and then went on to reinstall them from my Laptop's official support site, but it doesn't work. They don't even show up in my device manager anymore, even after a re-install, not even when choosing to see inactive/hidden devices.

I am quite lost, to be honest. This has never happened before. Can you help me?

It wasn't thehardware that failed, I think.
I THINK what happened was that Windows ran an update in the background, which must have done something.
There was another update available, which I manually started. No idea why that didn't start automatically as well, since they were both scheduled for the same day.
Anyway, that update fixed it... weird situation.
