Hi everyone,

Hope I'm writing in the right forum, if not let me know and I'll move it!
I am working with an Asus X550L, it only has a few weeks.
The mini jack in is a dual headphones/mic and I wanted to use it to record DJ mixes. Whenever I plug in the minijack connection (I have tried two different ones and they work in another computer) a screen pops up asking if the device plugged are speakers or headphones, but there's no option for the line in. The only options in the manager are stereo mix, speakers and microphone.
I've updated Realtek drivers but it's exactly the same.
I have found a few threads online about this issue but no one has solved it, if you know how can I fix/configure it it would be amazing.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for your answer, Vembutech.

It doesn't have the open as administrator option with the right click. Neither in the control panel or the Realtek Audio Software.

When I use the right click under the task bar volume notification it gives me the Recording devices option, but again only mic and stereo mixer. I have also right clicked here to show disable devices but there are only those two.

By the way I forgot to mention than I'm using Windows 8 and CPU is Intel i5.

Thanks,
Enrique.
