Realtek digital output not working properly.

Hi.

I'm using windows 7 and an Astro A40 headset. I have never had a problem with this before with this headset, but I get clear sound coming through but the microphone is not working as it says the Realtek digital output's not working properly. I have no idea what to do. I have tried using the front and back ports/jacks but it all gives me the same thing. Again, I have clear sound but it says the output isn't working.

Please can I get some help!

The Realtek "Digital Output" is for "optical S/PDIF connector"...not for headphones.....

so, go to realtek audio Control Panel....u see tabs there....Select the "Speakers" tab and u wil be see a button "Set Default Device" click that.... u problem wil be solved now
