Hi All,
first time posting on this forum because i have run out of options with this issue.
i have recently thrown win7 onto a ASUS K55VD notebook for a mate and have installed all appropriate drivers for the notebook bar one.
(ethernet controller) there is only one driver available for WIN7 64Bit for this notebook available through the support section of the ASUS website. I have tried all sorts of things to get it going - force installing the realtek drivers i have downloaded then uninstalling (and removing driver data) then scanning for hardware changes then getting windows update to search for drivers. When i run the setup.exe from ASUS driver download rather than a manual install through device manager i get this message "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable." ....
Please Plug the Cable.... dope linguistics.
oh and i have also tried power cycling the device (remove battery included) just for fun.
any help on this would much appreciated. TIA.
