My internet speed is stuck at 100mbps, and i even changed the settings to enable 1Gb, so i have no idea what to do...
 
Solution
First make sure your router has gigabit ports the devices will negotiate to the slowest speed.

You want to leave it on auto it gets confused if only one side is set to a fixed rate....and most routers you can not set the speed.

If this continues with it set to auto the most likely problem is you have a bad cable. Cables are really strange when they go bad. They may be good enough to work on some machine but not others so it can be tricky to figure this out. The devices that really test cable ability to pass data are too costly for almost everyone except a professional cable installer.

Any quality cat5e cable should work. Avoid any cable the is not pure copper...ie not CCA junk. Also avoid any of the flat or thin cable you...
