Hi there,

When I installed my windows 10, it did not install realtek gbe family controller. I went to my manufacturer Asrock fatal1ty b450 gaming k4 to install it. I received deep sleep mode detected upon installing.
I checked my bios, power / sleep setting and made sure it's not on. Same issue.

For the time being I switched to ethernet adapter to install the latest windows update to see if it would fix it, unfortunately it did not. Thankfully I have internet access however it will disconnect randomly which has become problematic.

Is there a way I can install the driver upon boot up? Since the system is currently rejecting it with more current attempts. Any other suggestions would be greatly apricated.

Thank you.

What are specs of the PC?
How old is windows installer?
which version of win 10

  1. right click start
  2. choose run...
  3. type winver and press enter
  4. current version is 21H1
I would try installing these and see if it makes any difference
download Win10 Auto Installation Program from under windows header here - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software

Unfortunately I got same results: View: https://i.imgur.com/LbSfD94.png

So if drivers can't find it, would appear its faulty. I assume this isn't a new board.

Any unknown devices in Device manager? any with warnings next to them?

I don't think its a random windows bug, you could boot off Ubuntu Live USB and see it if can see the lan controller as windows is saying its not there. https://itsfoss.com/create-live-usb-of-ubuntu-in-windows/

if it turns out to be bad, you can buy PCI LAN cards that would probably replace it, or go WIFI. Its up to you.
