Realtek hd audio driver not working

Hello,

I just formatted my PC and installed Windows 7. I then installed Realtek HD audio driver from Intel website, and installation finished successfully. But the problem is that there is no sound. I go to Device Manager and it says This device is working properly.

So where is the problem ?

my PC specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

CPU Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300

Motherboard: Model: DG31PR

Hi, If you rigt click the sound icon and select Playback devices, what is the default device?

It showed two devices:

Speaker (This is the default) and

Realtek Digital Output

It should work. Can you test different speakers? Check also http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-020642.htm
