Question realtek missing and wont install

Today when I booted up my realtek audio drivers were missing.

the sound out of my monitor works, which are AMD drivers.

i have uninstalled and reinstalled from both the realtek site and from my motherboard site,

my motherboard is asus z170-e

I did not do anything in between the time they disappeared. I watched a show before I went to bed which worked fine, shut down my PC, then when i woke up in the morning they were gone.

They do not show up in the device manager.

there is on realtek service listed in my task manager > services.

Would they not show up if the hardware on the motherboard was damaged?

I just realized in device manager > system devices > high defnition audio controller, there is a yellow warning. the properties says

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Have you tried rolling back to a restore point before this happened?
Check all avenues, right..
