Question REALTEK RTS5186 card reader does not work

I have a card reader with a 9-pin USB header, which fits a USB connector on my GA-H81M-DS2 motherboard, which uses H81 chipset. The reader was removed from and had been worked fine with Lenovo Edge 71, which used H61 chipset . However, it does not work with GA-H81M-DS2, whose boot menu shows no SD card, which will be shown if it is in a reader with a USB-A connector.

The problematic reader uses REALTEK RTS5186. Is it possible for H81 chipset not to support RTS5186?

The 9-pin USB connector on GA-H81M-DS2 works with my USB HDD and flash drives, so the problem does not lie in the connector.

The chipset can't nullify a device. What you meant to ask probably is if the drivers were messed up. Did you source the drivers for your device from this link? Which OS are you working with and what version(if Windows 10)?

I use Windows 10 Version 1903.
The SD does not appear in the boot menu, which has nothing to do with Windows.

"General Storage Device" below is the operable reader.
The RTS5186 reader is nowhere to be found.
