Can someone please help me? My Realtek HD Audio uninstalled by itself and now I can’t re-install it! I’ve tried everything from re-installing it From my motherboards manufacturer ( Gigabyte) to install it from the website but it doesn’t work! After restarting my pc it stills doesn’t show up and now I have no sound. Please help.

Solution

Yes nothing shows up. Even when I click on the sound icon on the bottom right there’s only one option and it’s the sound from my TV I’m screwed I don’t have the money to repair it 🙁

Check if you have any windows updates, then try reinstalling the driver and restarting your PC. If this doesn't work then you may need to reset windows.

it doesn’t work, it’s a 32 bit driver it’s not supported

Ok, try the windows 10 repair tool (reimage) and if that doesn't work you could also try contacting support.

Doesn’t work, I’ll contact support even tho I know they won’t be much help but thanks for your help. I’m just screwed

I mean good luck, if they don't assist you then reinstall windows, you'll be taken to a page with all the applications that were uninstalled after the reset so you'll be able to easily download your programs back.

If I reset my PC, are you sure that it’ll fix my problem? Like is it gonna be back?

I can't confirm that however reinstalling windows usually fixes most errors so it should probably work for you. If not then you'll need to buy a sound card.

Solution

I’ll try it, thanks For your help

I need help on something else, when I shut down my PC, there’s still light and the fan still spins like it doesn’t turn off any suggestions?

Make a new thread for this. :bounce:

A fresh install would be better. The reset is going to keep the current drivers.

This driver is from the official Realtek site. When this happened to me, all I had to do was download the driver and unzip it. Then just use the install wizard. If the wizard doesn't show up open the folder and find the setup file, then click on it.

Don't use the Windows device manager to update the driver, if you do then you will end up with a Windows driver instead.
