Hi.
Does any one know of a program that can monitor my drive usage?
What I'm interested in, is seeing how fast and how much data is pulled from my drives.
Reason:
I'm making game trailers and right now I'm trying to capture 4K gameplay in a quite demanding gam e.
I have 4 SSD's running in Strip 0 with a read write close to 2GB.
I am recording to those SSD's but I'm also playing my game from those.
A few questions I have.
How many megabytes per sec are read while simply playing the game without recording.
And than, how much data is written per sec to the disk while recording.
Why?
It be nice to know how much speed you actually need to eliminate Write read speeds as a bottleneck for 4k recording.
If it maxes out at 500-600 mb which i think is a good estimate, id be better off having 2x2ssds in raid 0. Running the game on 2 of theme, recording to 2 of theme.
Also another thing.
I'm trying to figure out whether or not it is possible to record from a second dedicated pc.
One to run the game, one to record it, encode it, compress it.
Thanks for the help
