reapir module and sata hard drives anyone???

suden death of my pc yesteday...on booting i get " windows cannnot start missing or corrupt file windowssystem32configsys try to repair using cd......when i boot from windows cd the repair module does not seem to find my hds as they are SATA :x :x before i jump off a bridge/smash something valuable :twisted: does anyone know a way around this!!!!!! any help MUCH MUCH appreciated

😀 ok got my sata floppy so know i am in the repair module....... 🙁 now i have repair module saying " examining 152626 mb disk0 at id2 on bus0 on viasraid..." but it has been saying that for 15mins ? and iam not hearing any spinning hard drives 🙁 🙁 any takers , any clues?

😳 hmmmmmmmmmm sort of progress have run fixmbr and fixboot...now i get the windows xp splash screen then it goes to the blue screen saying autochk missing skipping autocheck....seems abit stuck any ideas ?
