Reapply thermal paste on new CPU attached a week before?

Yes, if you are replacing/reseating cooler you must re apply the paste. You wont need much for the stock sink and normally you wouldn't spread the paste, you probably will need to for the stock cooler as it has a very low mounting pressure, you dont need a lot of paste at all


I am using stock fan. And it has pre applied thermal paste.I had to replace my motherboard so i took out processor and fan.Now that have my motherboard back again, do you think i should clean it and paste it again?

This. You don't need much more than half a grain of rice in size; liberal applications cause hotter temperatures.
