Question Rear audio jack stopped working on MSI Mortar Max, front works

My audio suddently stopped working on the rear audio port of my MSI Mortar Max. Audio continues to work if I plug in the speaker to the front port tho. Whats wrong? Is the ports spoilt or isit a software/config issue? I found the same results on Windows and Linux

UPDATE:

I tried unplugging front audio headers from MB, that didnt seem to help

Then I also checked audio settings on Windows:

It looks abit like it doesnt see that the speaker is plugged in?

Windows sound settings seem to indicate the volume moving tho, but no sound comes out from speakers

Unplug the header from the motherbd and see if the rears now work. If they do then your front ports are the issue.

@popatim u mean upplug the cables from the front IO connectors to the motherboard? The front ports are the ones that are working tho ... ok will try that later anyway

The front audio has its own header on the motherboard. only unplug that.

change the default to the back. i am sure your audio port is still working from the back

Updated my original post with images of settings. It seems abit like the settings are ok but somehow the port is not detected as plugged in or something?

But where do I find the option u are referring to?

You didnt select your back panel. You see how your front panel is highlighted? you have to make sure the backpanel is at default.

About that, I tried again. My observations are when I plugged in front audio, it light ups. When I plugin back, no matter what I try, it does not.

When I plugin front audio. A new option shows "2nd output"

When I plugin back audio, although its ticked here

Its not lighted up here
