Hi all,

Ok, so here's what i'm trying to do. Is there a way to reassign the arrow keys "up, down, left, right" to other keys ?

I'd like to reassign them to "up arrow key (as left arrow key), PgDn (as down arrow key), number 1 on the numpad (as right arrow key) and PgUp (as up arrow key).

I hope i'm making myself clear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Red!

I'm glad I could be of assistence. here's the 2nd layout:

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
05 00 00 00 4B 00 50 E0
49 E0 4B E0 4C 00 4D E0
47 00 48 E0 00 00 00 00

Keep the (Default) File as it is a file by Registry Editor from Microsoft.
Only delete your current Scancode Map or simply Edit it, remove all previous numbers and type the ones i provided above.

Goodday!

I have made you a custom registry and reassigned the keys exactly as mentioned above. I will walk you through on how to apply them:

On your Keyboard press Windows Key+R to bring up Run and type Regedit then hit Enter
Follow this: Computer>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control>Keyboard Layout
In Keyboard Layout Folder, right mouse click and make new binary value as demonstrated in the picture:

Rename it to Scancode Map and hit enter. open the Value by pressing Enter
Now type the following numbers correctly as shown here:

make sure you type the numbers manually, it will automatically leave spaces.

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
05 00 00 00 4B E0 48 E0
4D E0 4F 00 50 E0 51 E0
48 E0 49 E0 00 00 00 00

Once you're done press OK close everything then reboot your Computer and you're good to go! If you want to revert changes back to default, simply delete the value that we created in the registry and reboot PC to apply settings. Hope that helps.

Wow. Thanks so much for your massive help, i'm actually quite impressed.

May I bother you even more ? I need another layout with:

Left arrow key = PgUp
Down Arrow Key = number 4 on Numpad
Right arrow key = number 5 on Numpad
Up arrow key = number 7 on Numpad

Edit. I'm on a Swiss-German layout by the way if that's important.
Edit 2: Do I need to delete the (Default) file ?

Would be awesome.

Thanks again
