[REBATEs] MSI 1070

Recently purchased an MSI 1070 and it came with a 20$ rebate. I've used a rebate before but I don't remember how i went about it. Can I just take a picture of the UPC/Serial and send that in? I ask because I purchased this off Newegg and I know they won't accept RMA's once the original UPC/Serial is removed from the box. I'm not comfortable with hacking up my box and destroying my chances of an RMA.

Can't do that for that exact reason. Keeps people from scamming the MIR system.

Must be the one from the box. However you still get support from the manufacturer.

I don't see how that's cheating the system. I'm sending them a copy of my invoice and UPC code. Where else would I get it from? Why would somebody else give me that information to collect a small rebate? I digress...

If that's the case, I've been told that any RMA or Warranty claim then falls unto the Manufacturer. Will they honor any extended warranties or plans that came or was purchased with the card? Or am I essentially trading all my warranties and such for this rebate?
