Hi!
I have an Dell Vostro 430 desktop PC that dosn't want to boot Windows 7.
The thing is that when i boot it up and either press "F12" for boot menu or wait the POST out it comes to this screen with a list of all the SATA ports on the motherboard (which is 4). The harddrive is installed on port 1 and the optical drive on port 3, which is prompted on the screen that looks like this:
Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key
SATA 1: Installed
SATA 2: None
SATA 3: Installed
SATA 4: None
But in BIOS neither of those are auto detected(picture below). Boot mode is set to AHCI. I have tried set it to ATA but nothing changes. I have even tried clearing CMOS, but nothing changed either.
The harddrive works fine though if i plug it in to another PC, even tired the og sata coord from the Vostro works without a doubt.
How can i fix this so that the PC can boot Windows again ? Is the BIOS bricked ?
