Reboot and select boot device

Hello,
I recently built a gaming pc and haven't installed Windows yet but I plan on doing it via usb. When I turned on my computer to make sure everything worked, I got the message "reboot and select proper boot device". Someone told me that it was because I didn't install Windows yet, but in that case how would I access my bios to set the boot device as my usb?

Usually press something like F12 for boot devices. Keep tapping F12 and see if it takes you there.
Otherwise go into the bios and find boot priority/order and change your main hardrive/ssd to be after your flash drives.

Have you tried tapping DEL at startup?

Then an option would be clearing the CMOS. At restart, it would wait for F1.
