reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key? help please!!

Ok so my pc was working perfectly fine , I turned it off for a little bit then when I go to get back on it goes to a black screen that says "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key" I didn't change enything?and I can't go to my bios or enything because my keyboard and mouse won't turn on now? I'm on Windows 8.1 btw

Try removing the HDD/SSD, insert a bootable DVD and see if booting.

What is a bootable dvd? The Windows 8 disk?
