"Reboot and select Proper boot device"

Hi, so i finished my first computer build and when i hooked it up to a monior it automatically says "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

I have a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, i checked a few times and they seem to be properly connected.

What do i do? any help would be greatly appreciated

Install am operating system? You have to insert the windows DVD now and start installing it.

I did that, next i pressed enter it didnt say anything for about 15 seconds and then it brought up the same message again.

You may need to change the boot order in bios. The ssd should be the first and the DVD the second boot device.
