Hi. I finished my build and everything seems ok. And when I boot my PC it shows a reboot and select proper boot device and enter a key blablabla... I checked in BIOs that my HDD and SDD are there but i dont see my DVD rom? (IDK is this suppose to happen) and created a boot volume ( Going remove it cause Its not necessary right ?. So does this mean that if i put in a copy of OS then I will be able to install windows ?

PC specs
Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-H87-D3H
HDD - WD BLUE 1T
SDD - SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120gb

Solution
First disconnect all Hard Disk Drives (HDD) except the one Windows is installed to, then boot to diskpart to see if the Windows partition is marked as "Active" if it is then do the 3 separated startup repairs out-lined in this tutorial at the link below.

If not use Step Two # 1 to mark it active then do the startup repairs to get Windows booting again.

What if I want to install windows via a CD ? Do I just plug the CD rom and check if it's active then only plug the drive that I want to install windows in only when the setup pop out ?
I can remove a boot volume right ..?

Thanks and sorry for asking so much questions :??:

You can use another PC to make a flash USB device into a windows installation device.
Does your cd make noise? if it is power in it at all its most likely a configuration related problem, if it however dont work at all, maybe the CD reader is broken.
If you can access another computer, plug in a usb device of atleast 4 gb, preferably more, format it to NTFS and install windows to it. Then boot from it and launch repair/format or whatever you decide is the best.
Keep me posted 😀 dont worry about the questions :)

I havent tried putting a CD in , well yeah.. a pirated windows but forget it I am getting a genuine win8 soon.. the dvd rom seems like it's working , the lights are on and the CD did turned , if you get what i meant.
Can't I just install windows via a CD ? Like only plug in the DVD rom and the SDD so that windows can be installed into it.. :??:

I will do it when I go to my build
And one more question..
My motherboard have 6 SATA 6Gb/s , does it matter when plugging optical drive, ssd, hdd into them ? Like a specific device have to go to a specific plug

No. I have my 3gbps HDD's in 6gb, and it doesnt conflict as 6gb ports also support lower speeds.

I got the "bootmgr" missing a hour ago and i had to enable the marvel storage and boot manually. Have you tried that?

No.. I dont really understand what you mean tho,I am going to my build later and fix my mistakes during my build and then go to bios change some settings and try to install windows.. I will message you if I succeed , thanks so much tho :)

Okey, do that :) you may have to google alot of these thing to understand them, the bootmgr thing may be unrelated too.
Try resetting bios though, with the cmos battery or the jumper. You should look up a picture/guide before starting departing your computer. May fix the problem :) very often it does.

Good luck!

Thanks ! :)
