Hi.. I have a problem that I cannot solve..

This is my pc details,

  1. ASUS PRIME B550M-A AMD B550 AM4 DDR4 4400 HDMI DVI VGA
  2. AMD Ryzen 5 3500X 3.6GHz 35MB Cache
  3. G.Skill RipjawsV 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-4000Mhz CL18
  4. Samsung SSD, 970 EVO P. M.2,
  5. MSI Geforce RTX 2070 super
Here is the problem..
When I run my pc it runs perfectly.. I see the windows password screen.. I enter the password then I leave my pc in idle.. After 10 or 1 minute later it reboot itself.. Shutting down and starting again..
I have changed my ram mhz 21300 to 4000mhz manually and after that this problem showed up. I want to use my ram mhz in 4000 mhz.

So I have returned my mhz to 3200 for now there is no problem but it might do it again. I don't know.
Am I doing something wrong? Some people say that your motherboard and your ram are not compatible. They say that I should change my motherboard or ram..

Thank you..

4000mhz is really fast, even with the latest hardware and software, that's cookin. I'm running the 128gb sticks best money can buy and they only do 3600 and are flakey about that.

I'm assuming you are using some sort of XMP tune in bios?
It's a big jump going from 2130 to 4000, try sneaking up on it.

I'd back off the 4000mhz down to something less (like 3600 or 3000). Start there
If that doesn't do it, try feeding the ram a little more voltage. 1.35V or 1.4V. Be careful here you don't overdo it.
If that doesn't do it, look in the timings and see if XMP has set the command rate to 1 (very aggressive), if it is, try 2.
If that doesn't work... we'll have other suggestions

Oh I get it.. But my ram support is 4000 mhz. Which means I can use my ram at 4000 mhz? Or I can't? To do that I want run ram at 4000 what should I do? Change my cpu or motherboard? Any suggestion? Do ı have to overclock my ram to use 4000 mhz?

Your RAM may not reach those speeds on that motherboard with out tweaking some settings. It may never get there, but should get very close. Close enough not to make any difference in performance.

I'm rereading your post. Did you use XMP to overclock it or just go into the RAM speed and set it to 4k?

Reset all that stuff back to Auto by typing Auto in the field.
Then using the AI Overclock tuner, you will probably have a choice of XMP I and XMP II.

Set to the lower value you have in XMP. So set to XMP I if it exists. There may be no I and II, there may just be XMP.

F10 Save and reboot

If it runs fine, go back and set to XMP II and try again.

If it doesn't, you'll need to do some reading on the net and tweaking (like setting command rate to 2 above).

wait, take a picture of how you have the ram installed and what's the first screen of the bios (before you go advanced) showing for the presence of RAM

Gotta make sure they are both on low channel (mine are 1s and 2s, but they might be 0s and 1s)

:D I was going to show you this one :D Im sharing my latest settings. Are these ok? I think im not doing something wrong right? https://ibb.co/k3G5kzQ

Also I have another question.. What if I don't overclock my ram. What if I use my ram mhz at 3200. 3200 is the normal one right? Are there any difference between 3200 and 4000 mhz? What we do is overclocking right?

The difference is 800 mhz. But if it's stabile at 3600, hit it with some benches and see if she will hold up under a load. Prime95 isn't considered real anymore, but it'll for sure hit the throttle, I don't let it run forever.

Tested on prime95 and passed nothing happened. But question is.. is it stable at the moment.. ,:)) When i run my pc tommorrow and leave it on windows screen it might reboot again... There is no guarantee.
'' 4600(O.C)/4400(O.C)/4266(O.C.)/4133(O.C.)/4000(O.C.)/3866(O.C.)/3733(O.C.)/3600(O.C.)/3466(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/3200/3000/2800/2666/2400/2133 MHz '' this is my motherboard mhz support. If use it on 3200 I wouldn't be overclocking my rams right? But not its 3600 and overclocked right?
