G'day folks. inside my current system at present i have
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz in a Asus M4A87TD/USB3 Mb.

now i have a few spare dollars but not a fortune and i was thinking of getting a new cpu and Mb namely.
AMD FX 8350 8-CORE AM3+ BLACK EDITION CPU, 4.0 GHz in an ASUS AMD M5A99X-EVO-R2 990X AM3+

now my real conumdrum is that this upgrade isn't going to give me such a performance upgrade that it would really be worth it and just upping my ram in current system would be a lot more cost effective measure and worry about a new system in a few years time.

any oppinions ?

well i do a fair bit of gaming but generally i'm not into the latest or greatest FPS kill frenzies or anything like that. i am looking forward to the new fallout in a few months but as far as i know even my current system will be able to run it. i may have some ram issues but everything else is looking ok so far *touch wood*
it's just the last couple of upgrades i did building a whole new pc i seemed to have gotten a heck of a lot more bang for my buck were as this time it seems i'd just be going up a tiny bit .
