I am trying to upgrade my pc to perform better for gaming. I'm willing to spend 500$-750$ but can be a little more if necessary. The main game that I play is rust.

Current specs:

CPU: intel i5-8400

GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti

RAM: 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz

MOTHERBOARD: B360M bazooka

SSD: 100 gb

HDD: 1 tb

PSU: EVGA 500W

With that Budget:
i7 10700F

Paired with:
B560M Mortar, Torpedo, Steel Legend

And 2x8gb or 2x16gb of ddr4 3600.

The biggest bang will come from a gpu upgrade.

The problem is they are very/very expensive today and you would need to upgrade the psu.

Just to bump what you have along a little shop for 2x8GB@2666 ram.
Fit it in the proper slots.

Work at stopping unneeded background stuff.

Another 8gb ram 2133 to run both in dual. Mixing ram not in a kit is a risk but chances of dual channel success is high on Intel's

1050ti is letting you down more than cpu and ram, too bad gpus are badly priced. Dual channel and cpu with hyperthreading will help in future but for now anything better than 1050Ti will make you smile. If you did go for a better gpu ie 3060/Ti, do replace psu first.

On special!!!
