Hey folks,

Recently did a major hardware update where I swapped out everything other than the power supply and graphics card.
For some reason, Widows is saying it is no longer activate. It was active and working just yesterday before I put this new PC together.
Any solutions?

Also, since i'm here...
I'm having trouble booting straight from this harddrive.
I have a total of 3 hard drives (1 tb nvme, 500gb nvme and a 256 ssd.)
For some reason it's saying I have windows on both 1tb and 500gb. All my files including widows is on the 500gb.
I formatted the 1tb and it seems to show me there's still windows in there?

Solution
It is not activated, because this is a whole new PC.
For the OS activation, read and do this before you change any parts:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change

And not booting up?
That is a very very common occurrence with all new hardware.
It needs a full wipe and reinstall of the relevant drive. And all the drivers, applications, etc.

I'm on my 500gb nvme right now with all my older files.
I just have to click f11 and click that harddrive for it to boot up.
Trying to avoid having to do that every time.

Yeah, actually Windows just got a major update and I think this could be the reason it is posing the non-activation issue. I think you should try to install or restore the Windows again if it is a new PC and this might help your cause.
