Ok.. so I am gonna have a long one for you so bear with me.
I have been a computer user for a LONG time and build, repair, and upgrade my own computers, as well as doing the same for friends when I can. I have also been A+ Certified..(A little outdated now but only on some newer tech. The rest is still basic stuff to know)

Ok.. That said.. here is the issue

Have had my computer for a couple years and its worked perfectly fine. Sept 27th 2024 hits, and so does Hurricane Helene. My computer got thrown across the room, but wasn't hit directly itself. couple cables pulled harshly from it, couple USB ports damaged when things ripped out.. but otherwise all still works. Wasn't ON when this happened. Power went out 2 hours prior.

Until recently.
I use an ONN Roku TV as a monitor. (Never had an issue in the past) While working on it, I sometimes switch to the ROKU feature to check somethings, then back to the HDMI input for the computer. After doing so, the display is messed up.. The best way to describe it is it does not fill the screen, and has the right side extended beyond the visible section of the screen.. Expanded windows in the PC show the Minimize, Maximize and Close icons scrolled off where they cannot be seen. There are also black areas on the screen to the left and the right where nothing displays, like the resolution is off. (This may also occur without switching the Monitor to the Roku Smart TV section)

HW info
TV/Monitor ONN 24" or 32" Roku TV

Comp Info
Win 10 64 bit (up to date)
Display at 1920X1080 (The recommended resolution)
Intel Core i5 @ 2.90GHz LGA1151 processor style
48 GB ram. (2 16 gb sticks and 2 8 gb sticks)
Gigabyte MB B365M DS3H
4095MB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti
C: 223GB SSD Drive
No Optical drives. No floppies
600W PSU

Wireless keyboard, wired gaming mouse, wired gaming headset

I have tried a clean install of Windows 10, different MB, Different GPU, MB Video (Doesnt work on either MB I tried), Different HDMI, Different Monitors, and even taking out the 2 16 gb ram, or the 2 8 gb ram. Even different resolutions

It will be fine for a short time.. Then no warning, will mess up again.

The issue will also occur when I boot up and try to go into BIOS.. the screen will not display fully..

Thee only things I haven't tried that I can think of:
Different Processor (No spare to try)
completely different ram
Different power supply

Sometimes when i try to go into bios(2 different MB's,same models) the computer wont even go in.

As the CPU is one of the most expensive items to replace, I am looking for info before buying a new one or even upgrading if not necessary.

Anyone have any ideas.
Thank you

(I know this computer is Frankenstein's Monster, but I built it and it is a GOOD computer for what I need it for)

(Edit. Info i forgot to post.) Desktop PC. Processor is
Cores 6
Threads 6
Name Intel Core i5
Code Name Coffee Lake
Package Socket 1151 LGA
Technology 14nm
Specification Intel Core i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz

this sounds like a plug problem, my brother has a laptop that does exactly this when plugged into a TV through HDMI, it was dropped on it's HDMI port with a wire plugged in, all I can assume is that the HDMI port it's self is partly broken, dry joints or something?

Sadly cant be the issue. Different Video Cards, Different Monitors, Different HDMI Cables.

shame, I thought I'd mention it because your problem seemed so familiar, honestly I have no more suggestions, you said the only thing you haven't tried changing is CPU, RAM and power supply, it doesn't sound like a CPU or a RAM issue, perhaps at a stretch the power supply voltages for the graphics card are fluctuating or cutting out? or causing interference
