Recent java problems and Minecraft

Hello,
I uninstalled Java because of all the recent scary news about how unsafe it is. Now my son wants to play Minecraft, but it is written in Java. What can I do?

Yeah. It isn't really anything to worry about. Just reinstall it. Most of the vulnerabilities have been fixed with the most recent update, and I don't know of anyone who was affected by the supposed security flaws anyway.
