Hello,
I want to change my old HD (ATA) in a laptop with a recent SSD (only in SATA-II like Corsair F40). Is their a way to adapt the SATA-II connector to fit such SSD in my old laptop that has only a ATA connector ?
Or does any recent SSD exist in ATA ?
Thanks for your answer.

You would have to change out the connector on the motherboard, install a new chipset and......

Just buy a newer laptop with a SATA connection for the drive.

I doubt there is enough room in the laptop for any converter.
