Hi community !

I got a problem with my new studio microphone setup. After 20min of use i have to unplug my audio interface from my computer and plug it back because it does a weird magnetic sound on teamspeak.

My gear

AT2035
Focusrite 2i2
XLR cable from proel
( came included with the holding arm)

magnetic sound? in such cases it might be best to record it so we can hear it and perhaps identify.

a short checklist:

-are you using headphones or speakers? (if speakers, use a headphone and then test if the sound still occurs)
-have you tried other usb jacks? how about with a grounded/powered usb hub?
-have you tried on another computer?
-do you have the 2i2 and pc plugged into the same outlet or strip? do you still have issues if they are not?
-are there any EMI sources nearby? (radio, router, etc)

It doesn't go magnetic all the time.
Just after long time of use. For example 4 5 hours plus. In rest, sounds great.
The thing that pisses me off is that i don't really know when the mic is going magnetic unless i hear the record myself

I have a Wifi router nearby
