Hello,

I recently built a desktop pc about 2 months ago and have had no problems up till now. My computer will turn off abruptly with no warning and restart. The first time it happened I had to flip the switch on the PSU to get it working. I ran RealTemp and everything was around 30C. Since then it just randomly restarts every 30min-1hr. My specs are:

Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel i5 4570 3.2Ghz
MSI H87-G43 LGA 1150 Intel H87 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD 7950
Corsair CX600 600W PSU
Samsung 840 120GB SSD
WD Blue 1TB HDD
Cooler Master HAF 912 Case

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Solution
I would look into a replacement under warranty. There are things like the paper clip test you can try.
Also try running the system with 1 stick of RAM and no video card installed.

Don't know if your problem was fixed, but I figured I would chime in as I've had the same issue before with my XFX 6870. I went as far as to buy a new PSU even though using a tester proved it was working. With the computer on and the case side off, check your GPU fan. Mine was malfunctioning and running slow, sometimes even turning off completely which of course makes the GPU run hot and shut down your system.

Hope you solved your issue.
