Recently built PC will not boot.

So I recently completed my first PC and it won't boot. The fans and lights turn on but there is nothing on the display.

Configuration is:
Motherboard - Asrock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer
Case - Deepcool Tesseract with side window
CPU - Intel Core I7-4790K
CPU Cooler - Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Revision 2
Memory - 16GB (2X8GB) Kingston Hyper X Fury @ 1866MHZ
Power Supply - EVGA Supernova G2 750 Watt
Optical Drive - Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Storage Devices - Crucial MX100 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive and Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU - (Although I do not have it currently) EVGA GTX 970 FTW+

Is the display hooked up right and turned to the right channel or whatever?

Are you hooked up to the display through the GPU or the motherboard?

Have you tried that HDMI (or whatever cord you are using) on a different setup to know if it is the cord?

You say that it won't boot even though the fans and lights turn on but no display...does the hard drive turn on?

Have you tried updating the bios, if possible?
