Hi, this place really is becoming a second home 😛

Can I get a recommendation on a 2nd monitor for alt-tabbing, youtube, chrome etc to go with my current gaming monitor; ASUS VG248QW (which btw I've never liked).

Will I have to match resolutions? and size?
Was leaning toward BenQ for their eye care stuff but too much info.

Also, I want to wall mount above my current monitor.
Think resolution is 1920 x 1080, using DVI port with a 980 ti card.

Thanks in advance!

An HP Envy 23 or a Dell S2415H is probably your best bet. The reason is that they have AH-IPS panels with glossy grain-free coatings that make the image look clearer and more vibrant.

If you do not care about the price, Eizo EV2336 is the only semi-glossy/grain-free matte coated option, and best monitor over all since it offers the most accurate and vibrant colours (96% sRGB colour space cover vs 87-90% for the AH-IPS panels).

The Asus VS247H-P is a good choice.
It's 24", has a resolution of 1920x1080, supports up to 75GHz, the response time is 2ms and it's budget is about 150$.
If you ask me, for its price, the Asus is a best-buy.

The above monitor is a standard cheap monitor with TN panel, it cannot compete with a decent IPS monitor. The review from mbreviews is also a joke (no offense), they provide no actual technical information other than the one written on the box. No tests, no comparison. This is a better review, albeit not very analytical too: http://www.digitalversus.com/lcd-monitor/asus-vs247h-p11591/test.html

Anyway, TL;DR, the Asus is cheap because it is sub-par, it is not some kind of bargain.

My answer is above. Anyway, I copy-paste it again.

If you cannot buy any of the above for various reasons (for example, dell and hp do not have DVI, Eizo is more expensive than the competition) we can discuss it again.
