I've recently bought a Vega 56 GPU and I'd like to pair this with a good 1440p FreeSync monitor. I would prefer an IPS with high refresh rate but as I know this is expensive I'd consider VA/TN if that doesn't make a big difference, since prices for IPS panels are around $900+ in NZ where I live.

Currently I've got a 1080p AOC 23 inch IPS monitor for reference. Model: AOC i2367fh. Games I am playing are GTA V, Battlefield 1 / BF4, The Witcher 3.

I've looked at several monitors so far but I'm not sure what to get:

Some additional questions:
Does FreeSync 2 support (for HDR) matter much?
Is getting an IPS more important than a high refresh rate?

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Cheers

Solution
To me, your games are mostly high fps, so ips does not matter much since you don't have time to look for details, IPS usually have more lags compared to VA/TN, but good IPS ones may only have a little lag. I will just get this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Monitor: LG - 27GK750F-B 27.0" 1920x1080 240Hz Monitor ($596.80 @ Aquila Technology)
Total: $596.80
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Thanks for responding.
I noticed you've linked a 1080p monitor, whereas I'm looking for a 1440p one. Any recommendations there?
On a side note, don't many VA panels have a higher response time than IPS panels?
