I have a 4-cores Pentium laptop with a really slow HDD, I want to replace it with a SSD but I don't want to spend a lot of money..what is the best 120-128GB 2.5" SATA3 SSD for under 40 Canadian bucks ?

These are my options:

Kingston A400 120GB
Crucial BX500 120GB
ADATA SU655 120GB
Silicon Power A58 128GB

Any other recommendations that beat these ?

Seriously, 128GB won't be a fine choice for your 4-cored Pentium build. If you're into 250GB or so, there are a good number of choices with a maximum writing speed of upto 520 MB/s and reasonable price points from $58. As said here, Samsung 860 EVO would quite pull in the trigger for you. Also, it's a good choice you're moving onto SSD's as they're rather addressed as drives that last longer.

And uh, if you plan to stick onto 128GB or you don't have enough budget currently, I'd select Kingston A400 120GB from your list.
