Usage will be video editing with Adobe Premier Pro (currently just 1080p video) and other Adobe usage, as well as some casual gaming.

Gaming is exclusively single player and mostly open world games from old to new... still play Skyrim, but also will pick up newer titles like Cyberpunk. Would like best visuals, but I don't need to chase ridiculously high framerates. 60 fps is fine for my usage.

Monitor is a 3840x1600 ultrawide. I usually game in a 2,560x1440 window so I can have a browser or something else open on the side. Occasionally, I go full screen, but it is rare.

the machine has a 5950x 32GB RAM

Budget is whatever it costs. I just don't want to pay for more than I need.

Let's just assume I can find whatever is recommended. I'm patient and persistent, so I'll eventually get it.

Thanks

Solution
RTX 3060 ti.(You will get bottlenecked though.) if you are on a extremely tight budget. 3070/RTX 3080 if larger budget. (If you want to play with RTX and DLSS).
If playing with no RTX or DLSS RX 6800 or RX 6800xt

Edit: I read the whole post and you said budget is budget. What is the targeted refresh rate?

Edit 2: I read the whole thing :ROFLMAO:, I would go for a 3080 for head room for the next few years and 60 fps 1080p and 1440p with all the eye candy. Also if you don't give a crap about RTX or DLSS, then go for a 6800xt.
