Hey everyone,

A few months ago I purchased an open box computer from Newegg. I've really enjoyed it thus far, but am considering a card upgrade as some of the newer games that recently released have been straining my current card. Here are the specs of the current computer:

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0 GHz
AMD Radeon R9 285 2GB
ASRock Z97 Anniversary LGA 1150 Intel Z97
Thermaltake Versa H23 GAMING CHASSIS

I added an SSD, and just purchased a Corsair RM750X power supply.

I really want to maximize this system, and am open to both AMD and Nvidia cards. I like this MSI card and the features it has, so I've looked at the MSI GTX 980TI gaming edition, and MSI GTX 980TI Lightning. My concerns are whether or not those cards are compatible, or if they would fit in my case. Which other cards should I be considering? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
The maximum length is 315mm for a GPU for your case. The MSI GTX 980Ti Lightning is 330mm long so it wont fit. The GTX 980Ti Gaming is 296mm long so it should fit just fine in your case.

Thanks! This is very helpful.

Given the length requirements, is there any card you'd choose over the gaming edition?
