Hi guys,

I am building a new rig for myself. I am not really sure about the PSU.

Here are some details about what I have and what I want:

what I have:

DH55TC Mobo
Core i5 - 760
Samsung DVD Writer
RS-600 PSU from Cooler Master, its about 4-4.5yrs old.
2 x 1TB HDD
1 x 2TB HDD
1 x MSi GTX 760 (I dont OC)
1 x 4GB RAM

What I want:
Gigabyte Z97M-D3H Mobo
Core i5(4570 or 4690)
With HDD, graphic card and RAM being the same mentioned above.

Please suggest can I go with the same PSU or should I get a new one with (more or lower) power?

Thanks in advance.

A Seasonic SS-500ET-T3 should be enough, or a EVGA 600B if you are unsure about 500W in the Seasonic. And I suggest getting another 4 GB stick of ram, 4 GB is low for such a system. :)

Thanks drdjworks!

I am more inclined towards Cooler Master or Corsair PSUs.

You think Seasonic or EVGA have the same quality and performance?

Well, I've never had an EVGA before, but I have heard that they're good quality. Performance depends on the efffectivity. My PSU (The SS500 ET T3) has a 80+ Bronze effectivity certification. that is the minimum, so watch out and dont buy a PSU without a certification.

I would still suggest the Antec PSUs since I have experience with them. Besides, unlike most other manufacturers, Antec tends to place accurate information about the capabilities and features of there PSUs on the box its self. And they perform in perfect harmony with these details. I can always trust Antecs Power Supplies at any given point of time. But I do test them in my back up rig for at least a few weeks before putting into any rig I am building (When ever I take on the task of building a rig for someone, I would notify them in advance that I will be taking a little time to test all the components for performance and stability under different usage situations).
