Hey,
I'm currently looking to build a gaming PC, with a budget of around £700-£1000. The components I've selected so far are as below, but I'm not sure what criteria you need to consider when selecting a case, such as how to determine if the components you have will fit (this is my first build, so apologies if it's a simple answer).
Also any advice on the build or any recommend changes is greatly appreciated, my knowledge of some components such as Power Supply, Coolers and Motherboards are pretty low after a bit of research.

CPU: Intel i5 7600K 3.8GHz
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard - Asus PRIME Z270-P ATX LGA1151
RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666
Storage - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX 480 4GB NITRO+ 4G
Power Supply - SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX

Thanks for any information.

Choosing a case is generally down to what you like the look of and how much you want to spend, sizes and compatibility only really comes in when youre looking at water cooling and radiators.

Your mobo is an atx so first thing's first make sure the case you get is an atx case. Then make sure it will fit your graphics card. Then look for the features you want.

All of these details can simply be found in the specs and comparing sizes. Pretty simple, most atx cases will be fine.

Use PCPartpicker. It ferrets out a lot of compatibility issues.

GPU: Given your budget a Radeon Rx 580 4GB makes more sense. It is faster and doesn't cost much more.
SSD: As your budget allows for it. A 240GB SSD will make the computer feel much faster for everyday use. It also has room for a few of your favorite games.
Windows: Included it as you will likely need a new license. All you need is the license. You can download the ISO and install via USB Flash Drive. So that you can use a nice optical drive free case.
Heatsink: The Be Quiet! Pure Rock is a big improvement over the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. Solid copper nickel plated base plate vs copper pipes pressed into aluminum and ground flat.
Case: Popular nice looking model. Mainly there as a budget placeholder.

Build 2: Ditch the hard drive an go all SSD. Once you load games off an SSD. You'll never want to wait for a hard drive again.

Thanks a lot for that, appreciate the additional builds as well.
With the GPU, is there any difference between the Gigabyte and Sapphire? Looking to buy the components tomorrow.
