Hi everyone, I hope this is in the right category.

So due to lack of internet I stopped using my PC for a while, and by a while I mean like 2 years...

Final Fantasy XV is coming out next year and I wanted to replay on PC, but my computer was already out of date when I stopped using it. I used Game Debate to see if I hit any of the hardware recommendations but honestly im not the smartest computer wizard ever.

According to this site my RAM is fine but my processor and graphics card are not (Processor = fx4100 and graphics = GeForce GTX 750 Ti)

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend upgrades that aren't ridiculously expensive, basically the cheapest upgrades I can get to play this or this gens games.

Anyway, thanks for any recommendations =^o^=

What kind of budget do you have? Both CPU and GPU are way too weak to play...

Final Fantasy XV Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 3.7 GHz
RAM: 16 GB System Memory
GPU RAM: 11GB Video Memory
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
HDD: 170GB Available hard drive space
DX: DirectX 11

^ no a gaming laptop is an awful idea

A build I put together for another member on a strict £600 budget.

I would also say its highly likely you would actually be able to play that game with your current hardware.

Just not at the highest settings or the highest fps.
The FF games are hardly games that require high fps or ultra graphics to actually enjoy the gameplaym

Hey Madmatt30, will that be ideal for what im looking for. That is roughly the price id be looking at if having to buy a new machine ( I know im a cheapo) Thanks.

It's a rock solid £600 system mate if thats around your budget so yes , it'll handle current gen Pc gaming at high settings without a doubt.

That's cost cut to get down to £600 , the case & PSU aren't really what I'd go for with a bigger budget but they're still decent quality & capable items.

On second thought, if it's doable to possibly run with my set up at low could I get away with just upgrading the bits that are lacking on my pc, assuming that would be cheaper? Or would I be better off just buying a new system with those components?

The issue here is (& I know vapour inadvertantly grabbed those specs from game-debate) that square enix have not released minimum or recommended specs yet at all.

They have discounted the leaked recommended specs as completely false though, especially the 170gb hard drive space which is actually touted realistically as between 30-70gb depending on texture pack resolution.

Don't get me wrong , an fx 4100 & 750ti would absolutely be considered low end now for gaming.
But the fact is different people have different ideas of what's acceptable both graphics quality & fps wise.

Would you be happy at medium settings , 720p, 30-40fps ??

You'll probably do that with what you own now

Upgrading a 2012 fx rig ?? Doesn't make a lot of sense really now ryzen is out.

You could drop a 6300 in for £62 , it's substantially better than a 4100 no doubt but you'll still be on an outdated socket.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/PnxfrH/amd-cpu-fd6300wmhkbox

Drop a 1050ti in the mix for £130

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/KHRFf7/palit-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-4gb-stormx-video-card-ne5105t018g1-1070f

& you've got yourself a fairly serviceable gaming rig for under £200.

Its an option.

That said , you'd maybe get £200 for you rig as it stands now as a working system??

Take that off that £600 build I listed & yes you're spending double but you'll have something which is quite literally twice as good & all brand new & shiny ,& up to date too

Yeah as long as fps isn't too low I don't mind and medium is more than enough for me as long as the games run ok. I will upload full specs when I get home tonight, how is it you list full specs on your system?
