I'm looking for a nice solid boost using EVGA PrecisionX. To be clear, I do not want to push the card to it's max stable clock, I just need some suggestions for a nice "middle of the road" boost between factory and max stable. Thanks for your help!

System is as follows:
Asus Px79 Pro MOB
Intel i7 4820k- water cooler
EVGA 980ti Hybrid
24Gb 1866 RAM
1000w Corsair HX PSU
Windows 10 Pro

I run mine a lot around 1225-1250 Mhz base and it's around 1425-1450Mhz with boost in game, but I also run higher and lower sometimes just depends on the mood. Plus 450 to memory is good, it runs at 500 too but no need to push it all the time.

By the way, nice choice you'll love it )

So then a nice mid ground might be about 1180 mhz , 1350 boost, and a +300 to memory? Sorry, a little new to OC and I know it'd be hard to fry a card, but I'm a bit on the cautious end here.

Yeah you wont hurt it, even if you added the max voltage that afterburner allows, it's a very tiny amount and I don't even have to add any to get to 1500 Mhz. Also, up the power limiter to 110%, it just allows for more wattage to be drawn from the wall in case it needs it, it doesn't add voltage.

These cards are built pretty tough and have safety catches that will throttle before damage and evga is probably the best for warranty and rma if you have any issues. They don't care about overclocking or whatever and will honor just about any rma at any time frame in their warranty, it's one of the main reasons I bought from them besides the hybrid.
