Recommend Laptop for Android Studio and Virtual Machines

Hi,
I am not a gamer. However I am on a budget and I want to pay in installments (as far as I know, only Dell offers installment payments on their website in Canada).
I have chosen the following laptop:

Its a Dell G3 15 Gaming laptop. I hope it will run Android Studio and Virtual Machines smoothly.
I want your recommendations and offer any alternatives if possible.

The Thinkpad X1 Extreme has similar hardware, and has much better reviews than the Dell G3. Lenovo Canada has financing options too.

I am very happy with my X1E. Unfortunately, it's considerably more expensive than the G3. I picked it up during the Black Friday/Christmas sales for US$1360 (the i7 FHD config that Lenovo is currently selling for CA$2465). So if you're not in a rush, you may want to wait to see if it goes on sale again. I'd recommend camping the Lenovo Outlet site for a cheap X1E to show up, but that may be US-only.

You will want the i7-8750H, since it's a 6-core 12-thread processor, but I think you already figured that out. It looks like the G3 has a M.2 and 2.5" HDD bays. The Thinkpad X1E has two M.2 slots.
